I’ve been out of the office for most of the summer, speaking at conferences and doing work on a new project of mine. Yesterday was “clear the desk” day…which, of course, didn’t get entirely accomplished. But I did make considerable progress, and now the piles seem manageable.
If you’ve been away for the summer, you’ve missed a great series of articles on Vocal Artistry by Tim Carson. If you want to catch up, here are the links:
4 Characteristics of a Vocal Artist
Strength in Vocal Artistry
Expression in Vocal Artistry
Freedom in Vocal Artistry
Breathing in Vocal Artistry
Style in Vocal Artistry
I want to remind everyone too, that you can get Tim’s Vocal Artistry Package (a DVD and several training CDs) for just $99 in our store. Get either the set for men’s voice or women’s voice by clicking here. Or you can get the “all inclusive” package with both the men’s and women’s sets at a very special price of just $149. Click here to find out more about the all inclusive package.
Finally, you may have noticed that we’be been running an ad at our site for companion events for the new movie The Identical, which opens tomorrow (9/4). I’ve heard some very good things about the movie, which features an Elvis lookalike as the lead, and a lot of music. One of our writers, Branon Dempsey, told me “This movie is a must see if you are serious about the worship life and worship ministry of your church.” Check it out…
Today’s Article
Today’s Article is our weekly Select 20 anthem review. This week’s music, The Lord is My Strength and My Shield, is an English cathedral type anthem by Paul Leddington Wright. We highly recommend it. Click the link below to read all the details, including how we rated it.
