    Jim,

    How beautiful…
I love each of your points and resonate with them.
Most weeks I use them all. “Reeks” of scripture. Man that’s great.

In a perfect world–this time of worship together produces fruit because it cannot do otherwise.
Your description is that of abiding.
I want to add yet another that is significant to me that comes naturally from true worship.
Every worship service I plan includes some reference to our calling in the form of the Great Commission. Our faith produces works. Our relationships with others in the world are not accidental. Light, salt, and making disciples—this is the parting sermon.

It is not why we came but it is why we leave the assembly.
Just as our worship, our witness is in both word and deed.
I love what Vance Havner said, “We are not going to move this world by criticism of it nor conformity to it, but by the combustion within it of lives ignited by the Spirit of God.”
